Heavy Lake Effect Snow will continue today through Sat evening across portions of northeastern OH, northwestern PA, and western Upstate NY. For areas downwind of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario, additional snowfall accumulations of 6-12 inches are expected with isolated 1-2 feet expected across the Tug Hill region. Lesser snow amounts of 3-6 inches are expected across areas that receive snow from less intense snow bands. Heavy snow accompanied by wind gusts of 30-40 mph (isolated 45-50 mph) will lead to significantly reduced visibilities and near Blizzard to Blizzard conditions

Lake Effect Snow will continue across portions of northern MI and the Upper Peninsula of MI through this evening. Additional snowfall accumulations of 2-5 inches (locally higher) are expected. Winds gusting 35-40 mph will lead to areas of blowing snow and reduced visibilities.
